TechDude (customer reviews):
“Just got it installed today in my Chrysler 200 and wow I’m impressed by the looks of it so far. I’m a heavy user of skype as I’m an international student and I was quite worried that the sound from my skype call wouldn’t play off it through the car stereo but after testing it out, it works perfectly.
Pandora control of the iphone 5 can be done wirelessly (don’t know why JVC mentioned about the cable required). App link won’t work with my iphone 5 so I’ve been using ipod 4th gen for now to play videos on it (through the ipod cable purchased seperately). I was really hoping to get the Motionx GPS working on this unit so I wouldn’t have to mought my iphone on the dash but I guess I’ll just have to wait for an update (If it does even come out, fingers crossed).
Hopefully they’ll be an update by JVC soon to support iphone 5 functionality. The iphone 5′s ipod has full bluetooth control, so once again, the cable is not really required. The interface is highly customisable down to the background, text colour and button colour.
The audio quality streamed though bluetooth is superb. The equaliser functionality really improved audio quality and as far as my car is concerned, it’s much better than the stock radio unit.
I would highly recommend that it should be installed by a professional as I the mic might require some tolls and know-how to be installed. Plus, a mounting kit might be required if your car doesn’t come standard with a 2-din configuration as was with my car.
I’ve only been using it for about a whole day fiddling around with it and couldn’t find much cons to it yet besides the lack of iphone 5 functionality (If you have an iphone 4s, this would be a fantastic device to your car). I might update my review after more use of it through time. As for now, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a new radio unit as this unit gives loads of features and for the price, it’s quite unbeatable.” >>>View original review here
